LLM Config
A shared Python library for consistent LLM configuration across projects.
Note: This project is not yet available on GitHub.
Overview
LLM Config is a utility library that provides consistent configuration patterns for LLM-powered applications. Instead of duplicating configuration logic across projects, this library centralizes provider setup, API key management, and common settings.
Key Features
- Provider Abstraction: Unified configuration for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Ollama.
- Environment Loading: Automatic loading of API keys from environment variables.
- Default Presets: Sensible defaults for common use cases.
- Validation: Configuration validation before use.
- Import as Library: Simple
import llm_configusage.
Technical Architecture
The library provides a simple configuration interface that reads from environment variables and configuration files, returning properly initialized client configurations for supported providers.
Technology Stack
- Language: Python 3.11+
- Dependencies: Minimal—designed to be a lightweight utility
- Distribution: pyproject.toml for modern Python packaging
Current Status
Active and stable. Used across multiple projects in this ecosystem for consistent LLM setup.
